Extendable Dining Tables

An extendable dining table gives you a compact table for everyday meals and extra seats when family or friends come round. This collection brings together our extending, butterfly-leaf and drop-leaf dining tables, from small round tables that open to an oval to long rectangular tables that seat eight.

Types of extending table

• Butterfly leaf – the extra leaf folds and stores inside the table, so it is always to hand.
• Separate leaf – the ends pull apart and a loose leaf drops into the middle.
• Drop leaf – hinged sides fold down against the frame, ideal for small kitchens.
• Round to oval – a round pedestal table that opens into an oval for larger gatherings.

Choosing the right size

Allow around 60cm of table edge per person and at least 90cm between the table and the wall so chairs can be pulled out. Check both the closed and extended lengths in each product's dimensions before you order.
